Zero-waste silver roof tile earrings
As a celebration of 25 years in business, these zero-waste silver earrings are part of my silver celebration collection: the hammered rectangles are the off-cuts of the sea-glass or pebble ring shanks, soldered together to look like the slate roof tiles I can see from my St Austell studio window.
The short ones are around 15mm x 6mm; the medium ones are around 40mm x 6mm and the long ones are around 80mm x 6mm.
All my jewellery is gift-wrapped in recycled and recycleable card boxes and sent in re-used envelopes or boxes.
What is recycled silver?
Recycled silver is a green alternative to sterling silver. It is a little bit more expensive but has the same silver content as sterling, it's just made of 100% recycled and scrap silver products. Recycled silver can be both treated and worked with in the same way as silver, for the same quality results but more environmentally friendly. Produced from scrap jewellery, medical equipment, electronics and giftware, all the recycled silver I use comes with a certificate of authenticity and is hallmarked if it is the required weight.
