A discovered body of a Warrior Queen, on Bryher in the Isles of Scilly was the inspiration behind this collection of Iron age style copper jewellery. When the body was discovered in 1999 it was assumed it had been an important male ruler, as it had been buried with a sword, and mirror (used in battle) and high status, meaningful jewellery. It was only 24 years later when they tested the teeth of the body that they realised she was a woman.
The copper sword is 120mm x 20mm on oxidised, round hammered silver chain patinated to look ancient, like it's just been dug up.
