Hammered patinated copper charm rings, connecting us to our strong female ancestors...
A discovered body of a Warrior Queen, on Bryher in the Isles of Scilly was the inspiration behind this collection of Iron age style copper jewellery. When the body was discovered in 1999 it was assumed it had been an important male ruler, as it had been buried with a sword, and mirror (used in battle) and high status, meaningful jewellery. It was only 24 years later when they tested the teeth of the body that they realised she was a woman.
The copper charms are 25mm x 20mm sitting on a hammered 2mm copper shank, patinated to look they're 2000 years old and have just been dug up. Size small is around l/m, medium is around n/o, large is around a size p/q, extra large is r/s or let me know your size and I can make it to fit you
All my jewellery is carefully sent to you via Royal mail in recycled and recyclable packaging
