NEW STUDIO IN TRURO

I've taken the plunge and I'm moving into a new studio workshop, right in the heart of Truro, overlooking the river! I'm very excited and busy thinking of green paint and vintage rosy fabrics to decorate it with!

Truro Arts has taken on the old Blewetts building, right next to the river, near the car park next to Tesco's: it's a fantastic, massive place and they're renting out loads of studios with stone walls and exposed beams to artists and craft-makers. They're going to have cafe there, framing workshop, exhibition space and a huge teaching room. It's been developed bit by bit, but think it's going to be a great, buzzing place.

If you fancy popping in for a proper coffee and nosy of this summer's big, bright collections in progress, just give me a call. I'll be there most weekedays: just double-check I'm not skiving on the beach before you turn up: call me on 07951 960647.

CREATIVE CAFE ST AUSTELL

We have weekly Creative Cafes in St Austell: they're great with loads of people and kids eating nice cake and making recycled things for just a fiver!

Next week (June10th) is chunky paper beads: make big bright beads from magazine pages then thread them up with found sea-plastic into long eclectic necklaces...See you there!
